Go you! I think families are rather like a quartet (or add/subtract instruments as needed). The instruments are supposed to play in harmony, but when the violin becomes too overbearing, the cello takes over or the guitar cuts in. No single instrument is supposed to override the whole.

You're doing great with your daughter. Spiritual beliefs are personal choices, and that's the way it should be.
