Sometimes,
Life lasts longer love,
And the breaking, the tearing,
The re-making of us more than we know how to take.

Sometimes,
Love last longer than life.
And the survivors are left
With plots of dirt,
And empty beds.

Somehow,
The timing in life
Rarely syncs with our ready souls,
Leaving us with endless openings,
To grow,
To change,
Even if
We never understand.
